The Spirit Of Religion

Whenever believers or the Church move forward in the things of the Lord they come under attack from the Spirit of Religion. Also known as the Spirit of Tradition this spirit will not bother believers as long as they maintain the status quo. However, begin to move into the things that the Holy Spirit is doing today in the Church – especially the prophetic, apostles and prophets - and the warfare begins.
Known in Bible days as “the leaven of the Pharisees” (Matthew 16:6) this spirit attacks the mind of believers preventing them from hearing the voice of God, heeding what they hear, and then heading out in the now will and Word of God to accomplish what God’s purpose is in this season. Old wineskins remain old wineskins when this spirit succeeds in what it is sent to do in this warfare against the prophetic and the ministry of apostles and prophets.

The Prophetic Wars

The Kingdom has opposition and the believer will be confronted with the stark reality of having entered a spiritual war as soon as they begin to move into the current plans and purposes of God. The Spirits of Jezebel, Absalom, and Leviathan as well as the Spirit of Religion will come against them to discourage and derail them.
