Celebrate Your Differences and Communicate In Spite of Them
 God has made each and every one of us unique and different. Some are
morning people (larks) while others are night people (owls). Some are
introverts while others are extroverts. Some make their decisions based
on feelings - their emotions and those of other people involved and
important to them - while others make decisions with the major emphasis
being the facts in the situation and then even considering feelings as a
secondary consideration. We have people who would fit the category of
"neat" while others would definitely be considered "messy." Each one of
us is "fearfully and wonderfully made" as the Psalmist so adequately
expressed it.
However, because we are so different, it is often hard to express
oneself in a way that others who are wired differently by God the
Creator can really understand us. We say the words trying to express
ourselves but we often walk away feeling that the other person has not
'heard our heart' and maybe not really even heard the words that we
spoke. It is not a matter of them not caring. It is a matter of
different personalities and perspectives attempting to communicate and
understand one another and totally missing the mark.
Feelings are not communicated, ideas and thoughts get all jumbled up,
misunderstandings happen and relationships do not grow or deepen and are
often, in fact, seriously damaged. In fact, relationships and
friendships are often broken beyond repair all because we don't know how
to communicate in a way that truly expresses what we are feelings and
thinking in way that allows us to heard and understood. As a result, we
are hurt and often feel alone and lonely.
This seminar is for you . Learn about the various kinds of
personalities that God has created. There are a basic thirty-six
personality types and each one communicates differently. It can make
communicating very difficult and not always a lot of fun.
 Come and find out how you are 'wired' and how others that you relate to
and love are designed by God and how different you can really be from
those you truly love. And, learn how to communicate with others no
matter how different your approach to life and your perspective on life
is from others.
On the Friday evening find out all about the wonderful variety of people
God has created and CELEBRATE the differences.
Then, return on Saturday and learn how to COMMUNICATE in spite of the
differences.
On the Saturday morning we will look at growing in our communication
skills - learning how to effectively speak and be heard and understood
at a heart level. Through some great teachings you will master some
basic communication skills, as set out in the Bible, and will instantly
see the difference these skills make in your ability to be heard and
understood.
In the afternoon we will learn how to fight fair, how to resolve issues
and conflicts, how to solve problems that arise out of  our differences
(that we are still celebrating), and how to give and receive criticism
in a constructive manner. All very practical biblical help in
communicating with others.
